Strategic Support for School Leaders Who Are Doing It All
Partnering with charter and independent school leaders navigating growth, planning, and decision fatigue
It’s lonely at the top.
You're juggling enrollment, staffing, schedules, space, budgets, compliance, and board expectations, all while trying to stay focused on what really matters: your students, your staff, and your mission.
You care deeply about your school. But there’s only so much one leader can carry alone.
That’s where I come in.
Support that’s strategic, sustainable, and built for your school
I help school leaders navigate growth, clarify structure, and lead with confidence without adding more to their plate.
Whether you're expanding, redesigning your systems, or just trying to move out of reactive mode, I bring practical, mission-aligned support grounded in real school leadership experience.
No one-size-fits-all plans. No top-down templates. Just strategic thinking, strong systems, and the right support at the right time.
How I Work
✔️ Rooted in Real School Leadership
I’ve led school growth, budgets, staffing models, schedules, and school culture work. I bring both strategy and empathy, because I’ve done the job myself.
✔️ Flexible & Respectful of Your Time
Whether you need a quick structural review, a thought partner for a tricky season, or support on a complex project, I meet you where you are.
✔️ Practical & Mission-Aligned
Every recommendation is grounded in your school’s purpose, resources, and current capacity, so it’s not just strategic, but actually doable.
✔️ Built for Hand-Off, Not Dependency
I design systems your team can carry forward confidently, long after I step away. The goal is sustainability, not dependency.
Support that’s personal, not prescriptive
At the school I led, we built a culture of teacher autonomy, differentiated instruction, and deep community engagement. That same philosophy shapes my consulting work today.
I start by listening to your goals, your challenges, and your context. Then we co-create a plan that reflects your mission, your people, and what’s realistically possible right now.
The result? Smart, sustainable systems that work for your team, not just in theory, but in practice.
Who I Work With
I partner with charter and independent school leaders who need experienced support without hiring a full-time position they don’t need.
I support:
Charter schools navigating growth, change, or leadership transitions
Independent schools looking for outside perspective without expanding their admin team
School boards and executive leaders aligning vision, operations, and sustainability

Why This Work Matters to Me
I’m a former charter school director who knows what it’s like to lead with limited time, limited hands, and no central office to call for backup.
For over a decade, I helped grow and lead a high-performing K–12 school through major transitions, including facility construction, doubled enrollment, program redesign, and deep cultural work.
I made decisions that shaped our budget, staffing model, schedule, and school-wide systems, all while holding true to our mission and what was best for students and staff.
I know how complex those decisions are, and how isolating they can feel.
I started Shelton School Support to offer the kind of experienced, high-trust partnership I wish I’d had:
Someone to think with.
Someone who understands the stakes.
Someone who helps you lead clearly and strategically without burning out.
Let’s take some of the pressure off.
If you’re feeling stretched thin, or have a big decision ahead, let’s talk. A short conversation might bring clarity — and relief you didn’t know you needed.
No pressure, no pitch. Just a thoughtful conversation.
